Fumba Town is a groundbreaking urban development by CPS, created in partnership with renowned permaculture expert Franko Goehse and his Practical Permaculture Institute of Zanzibar. Here, permaculture is more than a concept – it’s a way of life.

Beyond Fumba Town, the land surrounding the Permaculture Institute, along with a dedicated team of locally trained staff, is home to 156 species of trees and plants. These will be carefully integrated into the city’s neighborhoods and parks. In addition, organic waste from residents is composted, creating a sustainable cycle for the entire community.

It focuses on building sustainable cycles that benefit both the environment and people. Permaculture goes beyond just sustainable farming and also covers areas like waste management, production, and consumption.
